(W123) Wanted: Info to remove panel above console and climate control.
I have searched the DIY sections and have not found any hints/tips regarding removal of the panel above the climate control, the climate control unit its self, and then reassembly.
I am working on my 1983 300TDT (wagon). Any help is greatly appreciated. I do not wish to damage the wood panel. I am replacing my climate control unit and a switch in the upper panel. One of the switches I dont even know what it does. Perhaps it opens and closes my neighbors garage door. LOL. Thanks in advance for any help.

The wood pops off the front of the climate control. Behind it are 2 screws to remove the module from the dash. Once that's out you can reach the back of the top row of switches.
