windshield sticker
 

could anyone tell me the proper windshield sticker for a 92 500e.
mine is without and id like to put the proper one on.
the choices are Daimler Benz...or ...Mercedes Benz...??i have the part numbers..any help would be great thanks:D

Mine is a 92' also...I know my windshield is original (and sandblasted by the 10 yrs.) and has Gottlieb D's signature and 'A MB product' slogan on a small white rectangle that is inside mounted at the bottom corner of the passenger side...

I believe it wasn't until the merger that the sticker changed to a "A Daimler-Benz Product".

All W124's should read, "A Mercedes-Benz Product".

Both have the Gottlieb's signature, so it's a slight change.

i went to get my window sticker from the dealer. he only had the 'daimler benz' sticker.i asked about the two and he told me he only seen the D-B so i paid my 1.81 and went on my way,...well ...as i walked by a new M B and saw the 'mercedes benz' sticker . i took down the part number and went back in.
we checked and found that the number is superceeded with the d b one:confused: :confused: :confused:
im thinking that the 'mercedes benz 'is the factory original and the 'daimler benz' is on a winshield thats been replaced??
any thoughts??

I checked 5 different W124 cars, each have their original windshields. They all came with "A Daimler-Benz Product".

I've noticed that the 1997-2000 C-class cars in our lot say "a Mercedes-Benz Product". However, a brand new 2002 CLK55 AMG Cabrio says, "a Daimler-Benz Product". Go figure.

Kind of reminds me regarding the single wiper inserts. Original's had (2) metal ribs; superceeded by a plastic ones; then superceeded again BACK to the original (2) metal ribs.

I had purchased one of the plastic ones for stock, never installed it, and one day complained to my MB dealer parts guy that mines squeeking. He told me the story, asked if mine was plastic, and exchanged it out. Go figure.
