How much fabric needed to recover SWB W126 windlace?
I'm going to recover the windlace in my 1981 300SD. Because it has an uncommon olive interior, World Upholstery doesn't have the windlace fabric in that color, they only have it in your usual black, blue, gray and tan. I got a sample of green velvet fabric from an online fabric retailer that I think will look good. It won't be exact, but it's close enough, and it'll look better than what's there now. It's not like I'm going for an exacting Concours d'Elegance standard. How many yards of fabric will I need to recover the windlace?

If you can't get OE windlace anyway, a contrasting color is common and looks good. I think the black would look very good with the olive fabric. Opinion of course.

I briefly considered that. Even tan/cream might look good. Here's green/cream in a W112 coupe. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/405886985141962321/
