Does anyone have a recommendation for care and feeding of the plastic windows on a soft top? I wouldn't think it makes any difference which model, but this one is a 560SL with a fairly recent (MB) top.
It's parked in the garage most of the time, but does sit in the afternoon to evening (Las Vegas) sun a few days a week. I don't suppose there is any way to tint these? I'm probably going to have the glass tinted soon. So, any suggestions on particular products and cleaning/polishing cloths? Bob Cavazos |

Using the usual 100% cotton cloth you may want to give Meguiar's plastic polish a try.
Hope this helps...Lee |

Owning a Cabriolet, I also recommend the cleaner before the polishing.
3M also makes excellent products for these purposes. Be careful not to get either products on the Fabric itself. They stain somewhat. Don't think I would put any tint on the plastic though. Good Luck ------------------ Mike Mullins 71 250 Coupe 92 400E Sedan 90 944/S2 Cabriolet |
