Listen, I am pretty picky about the wheel cleaner. I have used everything out there and it all is either acidy (damage to wheels) or no good -- no more effective than water.

HOWEVER, I am on my second bottle of Meguiar's "Hot Rims". Man, that stuff is good. You spray it on, even if caked on, and you see the dust just disintegrate, dissolve, and wipes off like soft butter.

Perfect.

What is the best Wheel Cleaner and Tire Cleaner. I have a 2002 ML 320 with the wheels that came with it.

I use P21S. It comes in either a spray or a gel for that caked on dust. I have used this for years and am VERY, VERY, pleased with it.

Actually, I hav used P21 as well. In my usage, the Meguiars Hot Rims is much better than P21. Just about $4 per bottle, try it.

Does it work for older wheels. I used Meguire's wheel cleaner a year or two ago and it ate away what was left of the finish. This new stuff might be better.

Griot's has a fine wheel cleaner - recommended by BBS as a matter of fact. Very gentle and effective.

From my experiences, anything form P21S would be great too!

Regards,
- Ryan

I know the one you were talking about. This is not the same one at all, it is not acidic. It is not corrosive at all. I can't speak for how it does on old wheels. I just know it dissolves brake dust.
