I actually was given this site by my local MBCA, which listed it as a helpful website for MB automobiles. It's been a very good and helpful recommendation.

This is the only place so far that I have been able to get the support for all my my abnormalities.

SDS - Spewing Diesel Smoke
SDD - Servicing Diesel Daily
OCD - Ocasionally Car Dies
ADD - Always Driving the Diesel
Well - ADD is also what I do when I count how much I've spent so far
STD - Spending The Dough
PMS - Performing Mercedesshop Searches (Alright - That might be my wifes issue while I'm buried in the office on the forum)

Feel free to add your own..............

Stephen

Sometimes I need advice on dealing with SWMBO.

Or is it SWTSMBO...

The P.O. of my 1985 300D pointed me here, and I've been a daily addict ever since. You wouldn't know it from my postcount as I read rabidly but don't know enough, generally speaking, to post. This site is invaluable, nowhere else will you find such a condensation of knowledge into one resource. Far superior to my Haynes.

Not only is it superior to the Haynes manual it is superior to the shop manuals from Mercedes. When we first got the '85 nothing worked on the vac system. With the help of the search we went through every inch of tubing, even repairing a switch over valve. She runs like a dream, shifts like a dream, and even heats like a dream in our North Dakota winter! Thanks everyone! J. R. B.

I verbally agreed to buy an '85 300d recently. When I get it to my house (today or tomorrow) I'll introduce the car and myself further. I've been reading and reading for awhile and finally it appears I actually will become a MB owner...Rob M Concord, MA

I use this forum all the time.

As a new MB owner and also being new to diesel engines, I have relied on this forum to answer all of my technical questions that I find in the manual. While I have posted relatively infrequently, I have learned a great deal by searching for and reading old threads.

I would also like to go on record in praising Phil at Fastlane. He has been extremely helpful to me, a real pleasure to do business with. If you are ordering MB parts over the net, please support the sponsor of this outstanding forum!

I rely on the forum for entertainment mostly, but I've learned a lot here.

I have learned 99% of what I know about the car through the forum. I would be nowhere without it.

When do we tell him that 35% of that information is wrong? And then, which 35% is that?

The most useful forum ever

I wouldn't think of doing anything other than changing oil without using this forum.

The assistance of others on this forum has been indispensable. Many thanks to all.

Well once you've been here enough, it gets easier to spot wrong information from a mile away...not to mention of all the forums I have ever been to for any topic, people here are generally very polite when correcting other well-meaning forum members.
