Block Heater
Hi all, I have a 91 300D 2.5 Turbo and in the owner's manual it says the car came pre-installed with a block heater, but no cable. Does that sound right? It said that within the first 12 months of owning the car you could go to the dealer and have it installed for free. Of course, that wasn't done since the car was in a climate that almost never goes below 5 degrees C.
How can I check if the block heater is actually installed, will I be able to see the connector for its cable, and if so, where is it located on the 2.5 Turbo? Also, will I have to buy the cable or would I be able to make my own? Thanks!!

Hello
Right side of block, freeze plug area.
look for a two prong plug. You will need to buy the cord.
