Which is an easier conversion?

Should I buy a turbo 300cd and put in a 5-speed manual or should I buy a manual 300cd and put in a turbo charged diesel motor?

Either swap is easier than finding a 5-speed 300CD in the US. If you have a line on one, buy it ASAP.

All the info you need to put the MT in a 300CDt is in the archives. Even if you turn one bolt a day, you'll be done before you locate a candidate factory 300CD 5-speed in the US.

And what about a 280CE with a manual 5-speed and put a diesel engine in it.

In the description it states it's an automatic, not a manual.

I'll bet it is. Mine hasn't used a single gallon in all the miles I've driven it!

Nice coupe though, good candidate for a 617 and a 716.210!

Neither. You should hand over that 5-speed before you hurt yourself or someone else.

Ship it here:
815A Brazos #233
Austin, Texas 78741

I'll make sure it stays in a safe place.
