I want my car to recirculate the cabin air for A/C...116
 

I'm not always happy with my A/C as the P.O. converted it to r-134a. I think it would cool better if I could get it to recirculate. Does the 116 chasis recirculate the cabin air for cooling or does it just keep bringing it in from outside?

The default is to keep bringing it in from outside.... I haven't looked into this 100% fully but what I did was to reverse the two lines that control it. If you look up in the passenger footwell you should see two vacuum lines going to the blower assembly... reverse them, turn on the A/C and see if the metal flap will be in recirc or fresh air.

What I'm not sure about is there is a third vacuum pod that is supposed to only open the vent 20%, and there is no way to reverse that, so I don't know if that is damaging anything etc.

On the plus side I did notice a very noticeable drop in vent temps. Don't have a thermometer though.... G'luck and if I confused you let me know and I'll try to help you out again. Maybe go take a pic or two.
