Thomaspin nee Pindelski.com

Has anyone subscribed to this site from one of our members? I used the old free site for valve adjusrtment procedures and didn't think to print them out or save the pages at the time. I am looking for detailed instructions again for the om617 turbo adjustment procedure. Being somewhat anal when working on the cars, I need the level of hand-holding that those instructions provided.
Thanks

Are you looking for someone who's subscribed to tell you if it's worth the subscription fee (it is), or to download procedures for you?

Hi,
Just looking for someone who may have subscribed to see if the site's worth 30 bucks. I'll probably sub and print off what I can. What I liked about it was there were a lot of very useful pics and tips at the site and it was well organized. Wouldn't ask for someone to do it for me, doesn't feel right. thomasapin did a lot of work on the site (and the cars) and should get some bucks for that I think. Even this site would be worth a subscription fee. I try to buy what I can from our sponsors and contribute info when I can.

Keep your ideas to yourself please! ;)

Well worth the ~$30/year for any level of DIY'er. Lots of new info since it was initiated as subscription. Thomas has kept the site current. :)

I like those photo illustrations. "A picture worth thousand words" really is true in his web site.

When you think about the fact that $30.00 does not even buy 30 minutes of labor at a typical shop, the cost for a full year is quite reasonable, if the site saves you even 30 minutes per year!

Actually, I think he owns a 560SEL, 300SD and a 380SLC.

I just checked out his site and think it's grand that someone who has mastered much of the mechanical aspects can illustrate detailed tried and true methods of repair and maintenance practice specific for some of the Benzs.

Of the few auto repair manual publications available including PAPER and CD-ROM, I have found many times they do not describe, or explain, or illustrate, repair and maintenance issues very clearly and are vague at best on many of the needed details.

I gather his illustration and guidance is shady-tree frendly, talks the talk, and speaks MB from the heart. :)

I'll subscribe to Thomas's site as long as I own the SD. It's a bargain for what you get. Many people here provide great advice and linked pages, but as a one-stop shop if you own one of his featured cars, I think it's well worth the money.
