A Few Nice Cars

I'm sorry, I'm too lazy to re-read and respond to all the posts on advice about cars for sale. I think some are actually veiled sales efforts. Here is the best one I've seen:

http://forums.mbnz.org/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1184776&posts=3&fid=12

I've been watching it for about a week and I'm surprised it is just sitting there. This car, the 300SDL, could be looked at as Chapter 1 of the 350 engine problem debate.

And here are more (follow the "diesel" link):

http://www.worldclassmotorcars.com/index.htm

Amazing how many 126 350 diesels are still around considering how few there were.

P.S. Please see the Cruise Control post in the Tech Help forum if you have any advice.

The 86 300SDL in your first link has the 3.0 liter "head cracker", not the 3.5 liter "rod bender."

The second link points to a place that I have visited. I checked out a few of the cars in person, and they are the real deal. They are extremely expensive, and rightly so. Because they are the finest examples you will find for sale anywhere. Yes, it is quite amazing that they have so many 350s. They didn't have any when I was there in January. BTW, the cabernet 1987 300D has been there at least a year, and the 190D 2.5 Turbo was there in January. These people know what they have, and they are not in a rush to sell them.

Maybe that's why they don't post any prices on their site.

It annoys me when they do that.

Louis.

The 1987 300D and 300TD are somewhere around $12,000. I guess that's why they've had them so long. But somebody will surely come up with the money.
