OM617 to Ponton

Anyone ever heard of an OM617 turbo engine being dropped into an older Ponton vehicle? I may be getting an good Ponton body with a bad motor and have a good motor with a bad body. Ponton's seem to have acres under the hood, but that could be deceiving. How about a non-turbo OM617 or other modern MB Diesel engine.
