hot rod diesel

i went and looked at a conversion today that a kid was selling. a 300d turbo with intercooler and a five speed in a w115 220d. whoever did the conversion some years back knew what he was doing. the engine was a rebuilt with 60 some thousand, the tranny is tight, the interior is trashed/ missing, the body worn but rust free and one door ding. worse dash i have ever seen. fog lights,
exhaust temp gauge, boost gauge, and some serious metal contrapion on the passenger fire wall we couldn't figure out. elecric fan in place of the motor driven one. no ps or ac. only drove it easy 2 blocks; expired tags. engine good,
fuel supply problem.

i do not want to buy this thing, but there are forseful forses at work and it is very cheep!

don

Sounds like a *****in' project to me. I would have brought her up to temp and hammered on her a little.
