#2 Inj. leaking on 240D, Spent time in search
and think I have learned that th' leak is between th' pre-chamber (th' thingy that th' injector screws into)[been a diesel owner for 'bout a week....] & th' head. Is there a seal there or do I have a messed up head? Does that part screw out and, if so, has anyone had success making a tool?
TIA, Jim |

If it's bubbling out the thread of the injector, you have a leaking (or missing or upside-down) heat shield, pull injector and renew.
If its leaking around the prechamber, you will have to pull it. There is a seal at the base, thickness dependent upon correct prechamber protrusion into the head. I would borrow or rent the factory tool, it works much better. Certainly do not use a chisel to remove the hold-down ring, it won't go back in correcly or at the correct torque, and this will likely lead to the same problem you have. Peter
