Wow.. this is the best 220D I've ever seen. Ebay

Damn, this is the nicest 220D that I have ever laid my eyes on. It is currently for sale on ebay. Check out how shiny it is even though it's really old.

That one could be a real creampuff. It probably just has a glow plug out else they don't know how to start it. Hard to get into reverse probably because they don't know how. Main problem is its located in the middle of nowhere.

Nice find, it looks like you may have found a real creampuff. But, why did you bid on it when there is no reserve? Bidding now will only drive the price higher.

Pardon my E-Bay ignorance, but why would some fool raise the bid 4 times in one minute with nobody else bidding in beteen? Must be some sort of automatic system, but why would somebody do that?

It is an automatic system. It's called proxy bidding. If you bid on something, you enter your top price. The bid only goes up by the minimum amount. If someone else bids, below your top price, the bid will automatically increase to just above the bidder's top price.

The high bidder didn't do it. They have a maximum bid entered into the system. Every time somebody else attempts to bid, if the original person's high bid is more than the new attempt, then their bid gets jacked up.

Boy, that car sure looks like a nice one.

OK, Thanks for the explaination. Yep, that does look like a nice one. I suspect the price will go out of range on it though. Probably frantic bidding in the last 15 seconds.

What I'm wondering when I look at the engine compartment are the springs for hood normally painted? I can't remember if mine are or not, I guess I never really looked.
