Door hold -open
 

My driver's door hold-open doesn't work & it generally clouts me on the leg unless I remember to put my foot up to catch it. The other 3 work just fine. Anybody ever fool with one of these?? I'd hate to open a can of worms & not be able to close the door, or something equally inconvenient.

Only once did I find that it was not broken. It is an easy and cheap fix. Search for door check strap repair.

The part you need is called the door check strap. About $20 to $25 as I recall. Take the inner door panel off to replace it, very easy. It comes unpainted, so you will need touch up paint if you are an appearance fanatic. The part from any late model 123 will fit your Euro car.
