I have a 1984 300SD, looked under the rear today and noticed a bit of "wetness" around the boot that comes off the differential and covers the drivers side rear drive axle. What might I be looking at, busted boot? A DIY job or pro's only?

Fixed this one after some advice from an excellent MB mech.
For all of you that have not done this simple maintenace I suggest you do. Remove vent valve off top of differential, clean , make sure air flows easily and replace. If the differential cannot breathe oil pressure builds and it (oil) finds its way out. I did this to mine and all is well |
