The one I just rescued from California appears to be in about that sort of shape. Not real sure about the engine quite yet and the tranny is bad, but the body and interior are near perfect. Unfortunately it's one of those 70s colors that don't do much for me. I call it "color of the universe" brown

Pretty car, 300 miles away.

Seems like the back seats in these cars always look wrinkled like they are broken-down. Look like someone stored sacks of cement on them for the last 20 years. My imagination?

hmm... do W116s typically not have sunroofs? I'm curious because I've always been interested in the W116 for extra trunk space and the potential for a 'stock' second trank for WVO.

If I recall there was a manufacturing problem or some other reason for shortage of sunroofs on the late W116. They are somewhat harder to find with sunroofs.
