Angry UPDATE-R.I.P.1985 Mercedes Benz 300d (kitten)

The more that I come to find out about this incident on October 27,2004 the madder I become. It now appears that the 2005 Nissan Frontier truck driven by the princess with no license or permit had a sticker cost of $17,000.Daddy put $10,000 down in cash and financed the rest.He was deemed such an outstanding risk that the lender Nissan Motor Credit Corp gave him a 4 year term at 12% and required the ex wife and her new hubby to cosign.

I know everyone is shaking their heads-gets better

Not only a financial risk but a liability risk. The truck is (or was) insured through
Royal &SunAlliance (Viking).A company who as of this year no longer writes insurance in the U.S.A.They insure the "hard to place" people.Yes your SR-22,DUI,etc.

That in the State of California means-MINIMUM LIABILITY
15/30/5
5K IN PROPERTY DAMAGE

Damages to my car without fixing the engine is $6700,towing and storage was $350.They would like for me to mitigate (make less harsh or severe) this part. They have been advised on what will be done before 11/27/2004

Ship that check of $5000 asap and I will dispose of car when I see fit.
That will release the owners (mommy, daddy and step daddy) of liabilty

The other $1700 will be paid through the court at her arraignment (starting out as a misdemeanor-can work up Felony Grand Theft) which will be $50.00 a month for next 3 years on Felony probation. If we are good and follow accordingly (which I do not think is going to happen-child has problems in school) at 21 she can apply for license and switch to misdemeanor.

That will keep princess of of a big house and parents from renting from me and my attorneys.

I know in my heart these people are going to do this again, they do not answer their phones (unless you go down the corner and use a payphone-caller id?)I hope this makes it a little harder for the next accident-who might not be in a Benz.It could be anyones kid on a bike or even walking. What do you all think? Thanks

What the hell was princess thinking ?? I'm glad nobody got hurt but accidents do happen. Heck, we all driove atleast ONE time without having a license just cause we were teenagers (mine was like 5 years ago )

Things do happen and we just have to live with them. I hope you get another MB or fix this one up.

Am I to understand they're asking you to make things easier for them so they won't be inconvenienced? This really frosts me. I can't stand society's leeches. I hope they're paying court costs.

Isn't it amazing how, in a split second, someone enters your life, wrecking your car, and making your life difficult. Then gets away with it?!

Just too bad. But, you'll find another car, get the bugs out of it, and love that one.

Man stories like that irk the hell outta me.

Cheers,

Bill

How old is she again? If she is under 18 I think you can go after her parents. Do they own a house? If so it might be worth taking legal action against them. I hate people like this and if you have the time and money I would sue them. You might get a nice E320CDI out of it.

If it was my car I wouldn't be happy with $5,000.
I would go after them for bigger money.
