Exclamation VSS Help

Here are my symptons : my w140's ASD light and ABS light are on. Took it to the shop and they said that the car needs new Vehicle Speed Sensors (VSS) and they quoted me a ridiculous price. When I purchased the car none of the lights were on and the cruise control also worked, it does not now. Is the VSS what is also throwing the cruise control off? Where can I get the sensors, I've searched around and have yet to find anything. Any help would be great,
Thanks
Bob

The ABS problem I don't believe is related to the VSS. If the speedo is working it's hard to imagine you need ALL the sensors.
Yes the cruise requires a speed signal (but so does the speedo).
You should be able to buy the speed sensors here (Fastlane) and support this site and get a decent price.
Check the fuses in the Base Module.

Base Module, right side (under the hood area), in back near the hood hinge. There is an electronics box, lots of control modules under there (lid usually held down with allen head machine screws, about 5 of them). You'll see one of the last (rear most) modules has a small clear window/door on it, flip that open and check the fuses in there. Worth a look anyways. These fuses protect some of the other control modules in the car. Usually blow if a jumpstart is done wrong, but they can blow for no good reason it seems.
If it's not the problem, at least you've learned where it is......
