1. Put the hood straight up.
2. removing the wiper cages helps
3. Pull the arms up so they are sticking out away from the windsheild.
4. Their are plasctic covers at the base of each arm, they pry up.
5. Under the plastic covers you will see a nut 11mm or 13mm if I remember correctly.
6. After removing the nut the wiper arms should pull out, but they are on a splined shaft and sometimes corrode on. A slight tap with a hammer to jar them lose is sometimes needed.

AH HA the nut was hiding under the plastic cover!!
The round plastic covers at the bas of the wiper arm right ?

I'll get my car into a heated garage tomorow and i'll fix my wipers, is not fun at -10 trying to fix something

Yep at the base of the arms their are platic covers. The cover is held in by two tabs on either side a small flat blade screwdriver works well. Once the cover's are up you will see the nut.

One more thing I did this back in June so I am trying to remember. The wiper arm may have to be flush with the windsheild in order to get the cover up. Play with it a little, sorry I don't remember exactly

bte the wiper cages are only availible online or at the dealer. The Bosch one's you can get at Autozone are wrong. I tried becuase I didn't want to spend $50 but I gave up and just got the right ones.

That's the root of my wiper problem.. I bought normal wiper and their are not holding very well.. one of them got out of place blocking the moving of the other wiper arm.. since then my wipers aren't working... maybe the linkage or something else i'll see once i remove the wiper arms
By chance i kept the old wipers, i will put them and order the 50$ wipers

If the blade holder (cage? ) is not messed up, the rubber blades are replaceable at a fraction of the $50. $21 or so from Fastlane, this site's sponsor. Dealers are a bit more.

Best Regard,
Jim

Until you get the problem solved with correct blades, may I suggest that you just leave the passenger side wiper arm off. You will not even notice the few inches of unwiped surface way over on the passenger side. What you will notice is how quiet, smooth and clatterless, the single wiper is. I had the same problem that you had. I put on a set of Bosch wipers and the passenger side wiper kept hanging up and getting in the way of the driver side wiper. I have the correct parts now but I am in no hurry to go back to two wipers.

Plus the single arm wiper looks more "made in germany" that the 2 wipers

I forgot to add that the single wiper method works on the 126 SD where the wipers are mounted close together. I don't think that there would be adequate windshield coverage if I tried it on the 123.
