http://austin.craigslist.org/car/51466217.html 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Diesel Sedan - $1200 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reply to: anon-51466217@craigslist.org Date: 2004-12-07, 10:58AM CST This car was driven daily by me until a recent accident. It's been in Texas its whole life and has been meticulously maintained, so it's clean and rust-free. The car still runs, steers, and drives, but if you want to repair it it'll need a new hood, one fender, headlights, grille, radiator, etc. Or, it's an excellent source of parts... for example: The 3 liter turbocharged 5-cylinder diesel motor is in perfect running condition, and burns virtually no oil. The automatic transmission is excellent as well. The tires and wheels are very good. The brakes are excellent. The interior Zebrano wood trim is complete and beautiful. The seats are excellent with good stuffing and no rips. The 4 doors and trunk are hard to find and in great shape. The air conditioning was ice cold and completely replaced last year by M-B of Houston. It's possible that the accident could have damaged the a/c evaporator behind the grille though. I am asking $1200. The car is located at a towing yard in Houston right now. I live in Bryan so I can't physically show the car to you, but I think the pictures should speak for themselves. They were taken the day after the accident. Please call me at 979-823-1418 for further information. ========================================================== Good luck--
