$ ? for used Euro bumper

I've located a Euro bumper on a 300D for my '82 Euro 240D. On the surface it is much better shape than mine. The asking price is $100. Good price? and are there any other concerns with swapping bumpers.

Thanks,

There are no concerns since you are putting this on a euro car. If it were a US car, you would need the different bumper mounts.

If you need to change the rubber strips, you need to know that the only way to get them on is to start at one end and "roll" them on.

Merry Christmas,

For that price of $100, I would hope you get the rubber moulding that fits to the body as well, but seeing as you already have a euro 240D, you probably don't need it.

I managed to find front and rear euro bumpers from a 280E here in the US. I pulled them myself and got all the trim with it (some of the moulding mounts were rusted though). These bumpers will bolt on to my 240D (US model) with no apparent issues -- it just uses some of the bolts instead of all of them. I paid $100 for both.

Thanks for the info and I thought that $50 - $75 would be a little more reasonable.

I've not seen any difference in the domestic/euro bumber mounts- and I have a euro front bumper on my wagon. There are two different trim styles on the euro bumpers, however, and for $100 it'd sure be nice to have that trim nice....

BTW, there are two different Euro spec bumpers that were used, a standard and a deluxe model type. The deluxe are a smaller type that look more delicate and probably are not as durable as the standard type. The look more like bumpers used on MB's in the late 60's / early 70's. I have them on my 230CE.
