rotor specs
I can not find the minimum thickness specification stamped on the brake rotor for my "new" 1979 300SD. I also have done a search on this forum but was unable to find the number.
What is the service thickness (or minimum thickness) for the front and rear rotors on my car? Thanks Augusta |

W123 Rotor thickness specification
I did search and found that the spec is stamped on the rotor (assuming MB part # I suspect)
dc88168 posted On my 1985 300D Turbo, the rotor stamps indicated: Front: Min: 10.5 mm (=0.4134 inch) Rear: Min: 8.3 mm (=0.3268 inch) Is this car a W123? If not, what is the spec for W123 Rotors? TIA

Yes Tony that is correct for the W123 although my book shows 10.6 on the fronts, but what's a tenth of a mm between friends
