1982 300sd. Does anyone know the location of the fresh air/recirculate vacuum pod that operates this flap. I have diagnosed my heating-cooling issue. The owners manual and original climate control card clearly say that heated air is supposed to flow from the center vents and into the rear seat vent. I also have no airconditioning from the center vents. When I start the car I can hear the fresh air/recirc flap open. It stays that way. It was intermittantly closed during the summer and airconditioned air would flow from center vents and give much better cooling in recirculate mode. It is not working at all now. I think someone said you could get to this vacuum element #41 in the diagram through the glove box.
