79 300d 722.118Trans No Modulator Neck breaker

I have a 300d with no red modulator on the side where it should be; just a bolt. The Car has plenty of power. Well thats a lie. Is there a way to soften the shifting on one of these? Its embarrassing when I have someone in the car. Its really bad.

Is it possible to add a modulator? Anyone want a parts car. I'm ready to donate this beast if I can't get it fixed this weekend.

Yes a modulator would fit and work only with the necessary vacuum controls, vacuum amplifier, switch over valve, check valves, etc, etc, connected to a vacuum pump. The fixed modulating pressure system works just fine. Read this post.
