It's a non euro, and non turbo. He bought it from the Waco MB Dealer in 1981

This is a rented shop where I swapped engines and trans on 2 300Ds.
An '80 and an '82. the '80 had 220k km and the '82 had 380k km.
The '82 is my wife's.
I had just bought an '84 300D, so SWMBO wanted the good motor/trans out of the '80 as "compensation" for me spending the money on the '84.

That's our family fleet. 300E, 300SD, 420SEL, C280, C280, C240, C240, 230SLK. My wife wanted to take the family photo, and we did. Then she saw the Mercedes ads on TV and submitted the photo. Now we're famous
