First time Lubro Moly- What do I do?

Got my first two cans of Lubro Moly Christmas Eve. What do I do? I have seen a pic of a plastic drink bottle with a rubber hose but that is all. What size hose? What do I unhook to run the stuff through the IP? Someone give me a little advice. I also bought two new fuel filters - the clear pre-filter and the big can type filter. I figured after all that crap went into them, I would change, but have never done that either. How do I prime the system after removal to get air out? When I remove filters, is the system under pressure?

This one is pretty easy actually. First get yourself the necessary things which have made my life easier while Diesel Purging my car. I went to the auto parts store and picked up some hose and one of those plastic connecting things that fits into the hose (I don't know the proper name of the connector but you basically slide a hose on each side of it and it connects the both of them together). Once you have those two items which are very readily available at any car parts store, you will need a plastic bottle in which you will pour the diesel purge. Basically all you are doing is putting the hose you bought into the bottle and attaching it to where your little secondary filter plugs in. Then you take the cigar hose off and put it in the bottle as well. The whole idea of this is so you keep recycling the diesel purge as it burns. It takes about 15 minutes to finish so find a good strong plastic containter so you can sit it somewhere in the engine compartment. You will also notice that the diesel purge will start to get dirty which is a good thing cause you are cleaning alot of necessary fuel parts.

You will want to change your screw on filter as well since all the crud from the injectors will be stuck in there.

I do this to my car about every 6 months just to keep it running at optimum.

You will certainly end up stalling the diesel because you introduced air into the system. If you don't pay careful attention to the hose in the bottle you will be a very unhappy boy. Happens all the time to drunks.

Lubro Moly is awesome!

I did the lubro moly treatment as directed on this post today on 1-3-05.

I put it in an old apple juice bottle (2 cans of Lubro Moly) and then closed the hood and drove around the neighborhood about 3 miles doing varying speeds and kicking in the turbo to blow that soot out.

Came back home and changed the fuel filters. The can type was tight. So I losened the big bolt on top of it and it came off fine. Then I primed the system with the cigar hose off to get the air out of the filter and then reconnected the cigar hose. It started right up.

I came home from my parents house where I did the treatment down Interstate 95 about a 10 mile run. I drove at about 90MPH and 3500RPM. The car has tons more power and idles better. This stuff is great.

I think it's more a matter of the diesdel fuel in the US being crapy on a whole, but that's just my two cents..
