116 and 123 Engine Mounts/Shock compatibility?

Has anyone looked at the compatibility between 116 and 123 engine mounts and shocks? Your help is greatly appreciated. I just got my '79 300SD and found a 300CD at the local junker with low miles on the clock (maybe.) Anyway, I'm thinking of pulling the engine shock absorber if it is the same dimensions as my older 300SD.
