Want to buy a decent looking diesel for $52?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4517437173&fromMakeTrack=true

I think it looks like a decent deal, if you happend to have a used trans sitting around you would be all set.

Hmmm, I am always a bit suspicious of ebay ads. For 52 bucks, though, how could you lose?

1300 mile closer and I'd have that one in a heartbeat...I have a tranny that will fit it too.

Here is a chance for a vacation in sunny, warm, So cal, and a cross country trip possibly. An adventure of a lifetime! Locate a tranny for it there, have it delivered, rent a space, and install the tranny, drive it home! BB

Interior looks sharp!

The interior of the car looks nice... too bad I don't know how to do those things. Would be a nice fun project.

Why do all of the fun project cars have to be on the other side of the country? GRRR

I think its a gasser, you guys assumed it was a diesel?
I already have a '72 220 and I like that lil bugger but no more cars says the wife. If I had a truck I'd drive down the coast and tow that one home for parts. Too bad its a automatic trans, I have a stick shift I could put in it if I had the clutch assy.

The "Buy It Now" feature is automatically dropped as soon as a bid is placed on the item, that is the way eBay works if the seller set it up to do that.

Couldn't you drop a 300D motor and tranny in that? Everything else looks to be in good shape.

Only a 115 (NA) 300D (1976 or earlier) would fit. A 123 engine won't fit because the oil filter cannister will interfere with the steering box.
