Thumbs up D/FW Benz Boneyards?

Anyone know of any in my area?

Preferably in the GP (anything off Jefferson?)/Mansfield (M-K Hwy?) area. What about Pick n' Pull off Davis and Loop 12? My drivers seatbelt does not wish to stay buckled and greasing it up doesn't seem to help. This is something I MUST get today, it's a safety issue as well as I have to deal with the local authority also.

Thanks!

There is a yard on I-35, south of DT Dallas, just past the 35/67 split. There is a little 300D that has been fairly picked over, but may have the part you need. There was also a 116 chasis, but I don't remember the interior, nor do I know if these work in your SD.
I would also like to know if anything is out there, yard-wise with MB's.

Just got back from Pick-N-Pull... had a decent amount of S-Class Benzo's there. Just a FEW 240/300Ds. A few 190 and 260-300Es.

Not bad. I made out very nicely!

Time to install, report back later.

Where is this Pick-n-Pull located?

Mansfield Hwy, I definitely was not impressed with the last time I checked that area. Two strikes against the places I visited: only they can pull the parts & they don't know the difference between a w107, w123, or w126 series. So you wait for over an hour and then show up with the wrong part.

I have not ventured over into the Grand Prairie area, off Jefferson. Have you heard of anything in that area? I drove slow the last time I was in the area but did not see or find anything with the possibility of MB's

In Ft. Worth, the best place to go is All Import on Elliot Reeder Rd. (Airport Freeway and Carson). By far the best in quality and price on parts and knowledge of MB's. You pull the parts there and they even have a hand cleaning station at the gate. They are only open weekdays, 8A-6P. (817) 831-6316.

Right around Davis/Jefferson area and Loop 12... it's HUGE.

Places that get the parts for you are a total waste of time, the people there are ignorant and try to save their backs from theft.

I called around in GP and came up empty. So I doubt there's much out there.

Do they have an abundance of SDs there? I saw quite a few dark blue interiors I could piece together to make a nice one for my ride...

Hit Man X,
Do you have the name of the yard you went to? I also thought the Davis/Jefferson/Loop 12 area was GP. I may take a couple of days off soon, and would love to go scrounge.
I will also duly note the FW location too. Even thought I live east of Dallas I always prefer most places in Ft Worth to do business with. Those 30 miles makes quite the difference.

It's called "Pick-N-Pull". There's no number to call anyone. It's an odd place but they had a good deal of stuff there. Again, mainly S-Class... if you're looking for anything else it's best to look elsewhere.

It's on the West side of Loop 12. Look for the signage and such. Can't miss it.

Jefferson turns into Davis I think in Dallas and Abrams from Arlington turns into Jefferson in GP.

Hit Man X,

Check with the yard in Ft. Worth, that I mentioned previously. Recently, they had a W126 with dark blue interior in pretty good shape. The passenger seat had a tear and that was about it, at the time. Colorado car, I believe, and I think the price they quoted me was $400 for an entire interior, so you should be able to get parts/pieces for a good price.

I have dibs on the rest of the car.

ooooo. Sounds like this place is pretty slick. My interior is silver and I'll be damned if I've seen another car with a silver interior. So looks like I may have to swap to a dark blue one... which would look nice with a silver exterior I'd think.

Sure, mechanical stuff is yours!
