300sd rear bottoms out and hits pavement

I did an earlier post on the rear ride height of my 300sd and have searched about this. All I come up with is the subframe bushings on earlier posts. I inspected my subframe bushings and they are original wiht 255.000miles. The did not look bad, but again it is hard to tell.

My car is bottoming out when I go from the level road into a person's driveway that is higher than the road. The spare tire well is scraping the pavement. When loaded with passengers in the back, it scraped when I went down a steep hill across a storm drain and started back up a steep hill.

I am beginning to think I need rear springs. But again - should I go with the original or the heavy duty? The heavy duty are cheaper! Not sure why. I plan to do the shocks at the same time as the springs. To do this - do I need special tools other than a floor jack? I have never done this before. I don't want a spring flying out at me.

I may replace the differential mount while I am doing this and hold off on the subframe bushings.

There are three coil spring shims - 9,5mm, 14mm or 19mm. Which one??
