Question Footwell Flap Actuator Location 84 300SD?

Anyone guide me to location of this item, My flaps do not work any longer and I fear this is the cause. Can this be reached without major surgery?

If you are talking about the flap that controls wether you have inside or outside air being blown around, then the flap is behind the glovebox. There are two pods that actuate it.

Have fun...

Oh, watch out for the glovebox light...if you touch the wrong thing, you'll blow a fuse.

The actuator for the footwell vents is just to the right of the accelerator. Do a search on my username and find a thread I posted describing how to remove the pod and fix it. It requires access from both sides. The pod is attached with a bayonet clip.
It can be tested with a mity vac from the driver's side.

Ignore my advice, I just read that you are taking about a 126. I was talking about a 123.

It just dawned on me (after reading Edwards' post) that foot-heat is what is wanted. There is also a actuator next to the accellerator pedal on a 126 - However I haven't tinkered with it (yet) and have no idea what it does. It's not that hard to get to, so don't be shy...Go ahead and check it out.
