That thing is the ultimate city car. Park it anywhere. Who cares if it gets dented? Nothing to steal. No reason to steal it. Those damned things run forever. RT

Just wait untill this saturday when I can post some pictures. Now that I've switched jobs to "Diesel's Only" in Denver, I can find some *really* odd stuff. For instance: I saw an Audi 5000 TurboDiesel and *TWO* BMW 542td's!

Only thing was the Escorts had crappy little diesels that broke easily.....and this Chevette cam with the Isuzu engine that typicly had the car fall apart around it.

Are the recommended timing BELT replacement intervals sooner for diesels than for gasoline engines?

My Isuzu ( ) is 60K. Not a big deal as long as you mark on the timing points before you take the belt off. (Gawd I learned that lesson the 1st time)
Never owned a gas Isuzu

Hey TX-did you say your Trooper is a TURBOdiesel? There's a really nice looking one on AutoTrader for $5900-I thought that was a little high, but with a turbo I might think about it(always liked the looks of the Trooper II for some reason).

The prices do seem to be inflated lately. My T/D is in very good shape and I always thought the $3's would be great money Maybe I am shorting myself. Ah....wouldn't be the first time

If this Chevette was a stick........and local I would give $600 for it.

With an auto this may rival a auto 240D for spirited driving.

Count yourself lucky that MB did not design the EGR like GM did on the 4.3, 5.7, 6.2, and 6.5's!
