The flip-up type on some late model W123's. The corner on one of my visors just broke. It apparently allowed the visor light to stay on and after a week of sitting my battery was fully dead. Does anyone have some suggestions for attempting to re-build the corner so the flip-up door will stay in place? I was thinking of finding a small cylindrical piece of metal to fit the round piece on the door and sort of building an epoxy bridge to hold it in place the way the base of the light does when it not broken. What kind of epoxy would be good for this? I need something that'll stick well to the remaining plastic. Anyone have other ideas? I'll take pictures as I proceed to attempt a repair and send 'em in if it works. I may just butcher something together from others I have in the garage. The broken one is in my coupe so the other visors won't fit, but I think the whole mirror/light asssembly is about the same.
Suggestions highly appreciated. Yet another minor winter project since it's too crappy to do any real work on the cars.
