I didn't even have the time to bother to follow it up.
For $3 or $4 more, you could have just bought the Haynes manual that includes several schematics for several years and a bunch of "other" repair info.

Lightbulb I know the transmission secret...

There is a secret button installed at the factory that, when pressed, automatically fixes all transmission shifting issues. It's called the "Machen die Tranzmischen shiften gut" button. I will sell you the secret location of this button for only $1.99, plus $19.99 shipping and handling. Order now and I'll send you a copy of "How to Shove a Chevy 350 in Absolutely Anything", which normally sells for $99.99, for only $49.99! That's a savings of $50.00 off the regular price!

Note: Some scam artists on Ebay are actually selling the location of the "Machen die Tranzmischen shiften nicht gut" button, which has probably already been pressed if you are having shifting issues.

Go to advanced search and search for vacuum control valve , put my username in the username box. Read that thread and read the articles in the links. You will not need that booklet and can paypal the money to me instead.

For $1 extra you can just follow this link:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=82748&page=1&pp=15&highlight=vacuum+control+valve

Search for some good threads by stevebfl on transmission issues.

Actually, no you didn't

You expressed doubts about what use the purchase would be, but I suggested what it would actually contain

I wonder how much all the information in this forum is worth? I've been soaking it up like a sponge and haven't paid a dime .

If all those folks that bought this "tech bulletin" saved themselves a trip to the dealership or transmission shop, it was money well spent. The best $25 that I ever spent was for a booklet that explained (among othe things) the importance of keeping the ALDA crossover line clean and covered ALDA adjustment procedures. I had been driving the car for 12 years, thinking that it had no "get up and go" just because that's the way diesels are supposed to be.
