Free to good home - 1979 300SD

This car has been sitting in my yard for about 2 years. I don't have time to mess with it. It ran well last time I tried it. Significant rust in the rocker panels, but otherwise the body panels are OK. Motor has about 200,000 miles. Rest of car has about 300,000. Comes with 4 alloy wheels. I'm keeping the spare wheel. Interior is pretty well trashed.

You might be able to drive it home.

Clear title.

About 15 minutes west of Leesburg, Virginia. Or 1 hour west of Washington, DC.

Any takers?

I don't know how to PM. I am using someone else's computer right now. I wonder if my office computer is set up to do it. You think you might be interested in getting it this weekend? If so, I will try to get a PM sent from my office computer.

Log in to MercedesShop on the computer. You presumably have already done this since you posted.

Go to one of Boneheaddoctor's posts. Click on "BoneheadDoctor".

A menu will appear.

Click on "Send private message to BoneheadDoctor."

You will get a new window with the page already setup.
Put in a subject.
Type the text (not more than 1200 characters).
Hit the "Submit Message " button.

Anytime.

BTW, you will need to be able to pick up private messages when BoneheadDoctor sends you one back.

Click on "User CP" at the top of this screen.

On the left side of the screen there will be a field that says "Private Messages"

Click on "List Messages" which is a category of "Private Messages"

A new window will open. At the top of the window will be a small window that will say "inbox" or "sent items". You want "inbox" if it is not already displayed.

Scroll down and look for any highlighted messages. These are messages that you have not read yet. Click on any one of them and read it.

Left a PM for you.........want to look at it first before I commit.....then give the other guys a shot at it.....drop me a contact number via PM........Will work it into my day....SWMBO has things she wants to do also.

15 minutes west of Leesburg puts you about 45 minute drive from me if I hop the Dulles Greenway.

I just left a PM for BHD. He is going to try to get out to check the car. If he's not interested, I will give rhutt7 a call.

That's sounds like a plan. I will PM directions. Using the Dulles Toll Road/Greenway, it's probably 45 minutes from the Beltway.
