Very Cool Sprinter

Cool Sprinter...
Owned by the Queen of Thailand? I didn't know they had a queen.

Nice old bus... pity the steering wheel is on the wrong side for use in Thailand. Wanna bet that thing gets 40 mpg like all the other MB diesels on eBay?

Thailand is a constitutional monarchy, like England, so I guess the queen part isn't necessarily BS.

The add doesn't say it was ever in Thailand.. just that it was owned by the Queen. Says delivered in CA.

I am tempted to go take a look at it. Looks very neat..

26k original miles..... interesting can't tell how many digits on the odo...

Not only is there a Queen of Thailand,
Seems she was quite a looker in her day!

This unit was on eBay about two years ago...seems like it was in Kalifornia back then.

Was less than 2 years ago...more like a year ago..I remember seeing it too. How many Busses could have fit that exact description.

My mind immediately goes into overdrive on the potential of that old bus!!

Too bad that I cannot afford it.

I haven't clicked on the link, but that bus has been on Ebay twice in the last couple of years, once in California and shorty thereafter on the East coast I believe. I'm pretty sure why it keeps showing up. While it is really a looker and a cool MB, speed flat out with the wind behind it going downhill is about 56mph. On European side roads where distances between destinations are short, it's no problem. But driving across Kansas in that thing will be a long day.

Yep, Kansas would be a haul and, I'm sure anything above 4000MSL would be slow too but that unit would be simply awesome on the back roads. I'd gut that thing, build in WVO filtering apparatus, some über light cabinetry for domestic habitation and cruise the countryside.

Oh, those Teutonic front seats would have to go too!
