Replacing Radiator 75 300d
I don't see a problem with this except the oil cooler. Is it neccessary to remove the O/C with the Rad? How are they separated? Are the top and bottom lines problematic in any way? They dont seem all rusted up or anything. I have read quite a bit about some of the newer models and there seem to be problems with this operation. What is the likelyhood the old Rad can be repaired for a spare?
Thanks in advance Joe |

Without getting up and going out to the garage, I think the oil cooler comes out with the radiator. The top and bottom oil lines should separate without any issues. They may be tight, you can soak with liquid wrench, then I used a rubber hammer and gave a firm rap on the wrench, 23mm I think.
You can remove the O/C once it is all out. Cover the O/C lines and plug the holes on the O/C. When you unscrew the fan, leave one bolt loosely threaded into the pulley otherwise the bolt holes will become unaligned making installation difficult. Also, store the visco fan in an upright position. As it would be on the car. Don't lay it flat on its face. Keep that old rad, have a shop recore it if it is shot. You want to keep that old metal tank rather than get some plastic aftermarket junk. The rest is easy.
