Fuel leak injector #1

I have a fuel leak - injector one. 1982 300sd.
Braided hose coming from fuel filter assembly is wet.
Could this be the culprit?

See picture.

Thumbs up Good Place to start

I have replaced ALL of my injector return lines. I got them from Phil here at FastLane. They are already cut to proper length.

If the hose is wet it is leaking.

Exclamation Not @ the Zone

Autozone does not carry the proper lines. DO NOT use vacuum line it will leak and deteriorate.

So what size is it?

As long as it is fuel line and the correct size, it should be fine.

Odie, you are way better off using MBZ braided hose. The new stuff they sell is B100 compatible, and I know you are into veg/BD. Stock is the stuff you want, if you shop around you can get a pre-cut set for less than $15. That included the capped final line. I forget if it is 7 or 8 mm or what, but if you follow threads here and at the BD infopop site, you will find that using substitutes here only leads to headaches later. Get the real deal and forget about it for 100,000 miles.

7 or 8mm would be the main fuel line.

The bypass line is going to be 3 or 4 mm I guess. But I don't know.

Any fuel line will be fine for wvo. I have no desire to mess with BD and the methanol it take to make the stuff.

I'm guessing no one here knows what size the injector bypass lines are since I get no answer to the question...

why order the stuff and wait a week for it, plus pay shipping? You spend $10-15 bucks for $3 buck worth of hose. If I needed a bunch of other stuff, then yeah, just add it to the order. Otherwise I'm wasting time and money.

The online parts places have the hose, they just don't tell you what size...I want to know what it is I'm buying. I checked fastlane, and they are not very clear as to what size hose is needed. They list 3.5 and 4 mm hoses, some of the return hoses don't even state their size???

I'll take that as just buy the damn lines...I doubt any local places carry any metric hose anyway.

You need 3mm fuel line but 1/8" fuel line will work. The latter is hard to put on because it has a thicker wall.

still leaking

Hey yall.

I replaced all the return lines with new braided line. Fuel is not leaking from return lines or metal lines, but is STILL leaking from around bottom of first injector. Is there a seal or something around the bottom that could leak?? Please help.
