Another car in NC

I don't know what it is about North Carolina, but I keep finding cars there. And it's a pain in the $*%, given that I dont' live there. But take a look at these Pictures. When I spoke the owner, he told me that the interior was "worn." Does this look "worn" to you?

The ad for the car is here. The AC has been completely replaced. The cruise does work. He said it wasn't, but he started to use it more and it started working great. Strange. Has owned since 99 or 98. Has a few other Mercedes, that's why he's selling this one. Sunroof was getting finicky, like it wouldn't really want to close or something. He said he fiddled with the switch until it closed and left it that way. I dont' remember what else he had to say, as I lost my piece of paper I was writing on. He has service records for the bigger stuff, but not oil changes, although he did them every 3-4K he says. He bought from a guy who got it from his father who bought it new.

Anyway, it's not too expensive, and it looks nice, expect for the rust bubble on the trunk where it closes below the license plate.

So, anybody feel like going for a test ride? I hate asking, and I wish people were lookin in this state so I could feel like I'm returing the favor. Not only that, I've driven just about every diesel Mercedes around that has gone up for sale, so I probably already have a report done on it!

I don't mind driving down from the salt belt and grabbing a car that has only seen it a few times. I've been looking for a dodge ram 12v diesel for a while, and excluding everything north of kentucky as possibilities. I figure this way it should at least give me a 7 year head start, I'll also probably have it coated with a paraffin wax to help stop the rust from forming.

Good call. Maybe I should drop it...

Looks nice. Too bad it is so far away. I would trade my 1983 300d for a 1987 model any day.
