Dodgy VIN Number
Hi Guys
What can anybody tell me about the following VIN number: WDB6673622P022756 On a registration check this van reports as a Mercedes 410P CHAS CAB(whatever a 410P is) but that van looks to be a 508D. Also having problems getting parts that fit... just got a brake servo from a 508D that doesn't fit it! Help!

Invalid
CarFax reports your vin as "invalid"...
I did a copy and paste.... still invalid sorry

The bigger problem...
Okay, so the VIN doesn't check out... that's what I found.
This has all come about because both a bonnet (new) and a brake servo (used, from a 508D) have arrived for my van but neither fit. The bonnet is basically too short, and I can only describe my van as having a 'longer nose. Were there two different types of 508D?? I've found two pictures on the internet showing the different types of front. Mines like the one on the right...   (Ignore the actual vans, it's only just to illustrate the two fronts. Neither of these are my van.) Help please!!!! Very confused (and worried my van isn't quite as it says it is!!)

i was able to enter the vin number into my mercedes repair information program, the vin comesback to a 507D and 508D with two endines listed.
601.941 and 616.914. i will try it in my parts program when i go home tonight if this doesn't help. please let me know @ mercedessd@cox.net

That kind of reassures me, except that the DVLA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency) have my van recorded as a 410P. Well, the van's definitely not petrol, but I still don't understand why two parts, from two seperate suppliers, don't fit my van (brake servo and bonnet).
The bonnet is from Euro Car Parts http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecommerce/Response.asp?action=SEARCH&type=PART&Query=FRONT+BODY+PARTS+%3A+OUTER&Idx=570 which claims to fit "207D-510 VANS 77-95". Except it doesn't fit mine! Is there a reason for this? The brake servo was (apparently) out of a 508D van. Also the majority of 508D pictures I've found have the shorter bonnet. Are there two different styles of the 508D, because no websites seem to refer to there being anything other than a standard 508D body?

Not in USA
Judging by the word "bonnet" and your DMV, I now realize you are not in the USA. Sorry, CarFax can only report on USA VINs.

Presumably someone can identify which van is pictured below (found one of my actual van - it really is mine!) regardless of which side of the atlantic you're on?
