81 300sd RPM Sensor needed used or new??

Hello all,
I posted this in the parts section as well,just hoping to save some money should I buy a used one or just pony up the $85 for a new one???

I need a working rpm sensor for an 81 300sd,I tried the cigg. butt trick and the rubber bands but the silicone finally gave out.MB part # is 0015455932 VDO part # is 415 202/1/1 let me know thanks
