Smoked rear lights for a W126?

How do you think these would look on a dark blue W126?

I think these along with a light tint and my clear corner's up front would make a nice package. Eventually I will have Euro's up front and I will probably put on an SEC bumper cover to get the lower fog lights.

I'm sure they'll look good but with clear
corners in the front these would look better.

Louis, I've seen those before as well. They really look good in combination with the clear corners in the front, IMHO. I'm tempted to get them for the SDL.............

Eiy laputa- never mind either one in my view. I like the tail-light reflectors which go all the way across from light to light for about $50. After getting the matching rear seats today for the SD my wife thinks I'm not gonna sell it
Uh... wow honey, never crossed my mind, but it's a good idea

Hi Brian.

Yes, for some reason clear blinkers and smoked tails don't go
well together.
Just my taste I guess.
Now, if I could only find something simular for my 84 wagon.

Louis.

keep in mind that most of these aftermarket lights are not built upto the same standard as the OE units. This isnt as important for the front turnsignals as if they leak water and the bulb will fail or the reflector will corrode. This isnt too much of a problem as you can simply replace the light. But if the taillamps do not seal properly you will get water in your trunk, which will produce rust if it lingers.

I would rather have smoked front corner lights...
They just seem to be harder to come by, and more expensive.
Smoked looks better with darker paint jobs where the clears look better with lighter paint jobs.............

Hattie - When you find the SEC bumper - Get 2!!! - I'll make a bee-line to your place within 24 hours................... FYI - The light can ONLY be fogs - thus we would be running 2 sets of fogs.... I have yet to find 'Driving Beams' for the SEC bumper............

The aftermarket lights probably are not as good as OE but their good enough.

I might go with the clear tail lights, I just ran accross the smoked and was looking at them. I think the smoked would look real nice on a black SEC with some dark tints and blacked out chrome.

I don't have the money now but will probably get a pair this summer. $180 to change the look of the rear of the car isn't a bad deal.

My next project in the next few weeks is I want to get a new plastic insert for my grill. I already have new chrome sitting in my room. I will try body matching the grill and then painting it black. I think on my blue car the blue grill would look the best; but we will see.

Smooooth if I can find a few sure. They will probably still need paint though. Those lower fogs a long with euros will take 10+ years off the front ends of these cars.

I want to change a few little things here and their on my SDL to make it different then every other W126 I see.
