Now this is an Ebay Descprition!

Not that I'd want this car, or one like it, but this is what I'd like to see in an ebay description. No beating around the bush to figure out what's wrong. To bad he won't make much money though being honest. He should have said "130 MPH certified!" or "investment grade, buy to hold!" (I hate that guy ).

EDIT: You know, I just thought that if this really does have a new head, the car would be worth it for that alone. Somebody who is interested could email him and tell him how to check with the serial numbers.

Only 138 HP? I thought they had way more than that.

Useing oil between changes on a 603 at least isn't normal. Front seal only $9.45 I love that part. How many hours labor at lets say $70 an hour to get to that? That would be a crappy job to change.

Looks like an ok driver if you can get it for cheap enough, then just drive the thing.

OK driver????

I'm still trying to figure out if anything actually functions on it, other than the engine.

If this vehicle is an "ok driver" then yours can be considered "immaculate" on the day you bought it.

This thing has "parts car" written on the hood.

I'm going to try and see what head is on it. Might be worth it for the head if it is a newer head.

I might have some head issues, myself.

This is good news.

Quote:
...parts are generally of higher quality and only manufactured in Austria Germany, and ML class are made in America. Unlike American cars who have part factories in cheap labor countries such as México.
This is news. What happened to the Bosch, Mann, Hengst, Lemforder, Teves and Bilstein/Febi operations in Turkey, India, Brazil, Estonia and Gawd knows where else? Does this mean that those countries can now be added to the list of companies making high quality aftermarket parts for MBZ outside of Mexico?

My mechanic says that the front crankshaft seal is the cause of the leak and costs 9.45 for a new seal.
And $600+ in labor to R&R it.

The damaged, flaky Nissen radiator I am returning to radiator.com was made in Morocco

The seller doesn't seem to think it is a parts car! I was thinking $1k would be a good price and maybe you could get a few thousand miles out of it while it is being parted.

Let's go. I'll split the cost with you. What do you say?

I want to see you drive it around a few thousand miles after the front fenders have been parted out.

If I had the money now I would go in on it for $500 or so. I want the turbo and IP though if you get the head!

I would drive it without front fenders, the ultimate nothing to lose CT redneck ride! Perfect for New Haven.

Deal.

I would definitely be buying it for the head, if it's a #18 or above.

Why do good sounding deals always come along when I'm broke.

$500 for a bunch of usable parts and to beat around in a crappy W126 for a few thousand miles!
