Unless something changed about eBay, you may have won the auction but you're buying the car :)

Hi,
Yea, I won the bid, and I am going to pay it today. Thanks, :) |
Best diesel you could find,if you look at my posts I sold one 6 months ago and regret every day...it is the only year 95' that MB installed this powertrain in the W124,without any electronic gadgets and the old fashion trannie...then use it between 96-99 on the new body style, your car is the best choice, cheeper parts then the newer ones,I think nicer car.Anyway look for the glow plug light(orange) on the dash to work when you start the car,it is a very time consuming and expensive if you dont "do it yourself" change of glow plugs, not the glow plugs themselfs are expensive, you have to dismantle the the intake and put it back...check the serpentine belt for tension and wear and also the climate control/AC if it works.

GREAT car… But a biased opinion here
I agree with everything that 92300SE said. Take good care of it & enjoy it for a LONG time, because it will definitely last a very long time indeed. I just ticked over 345,000 miles in mine last week.

E300D- did you sort your cold starting issue?
mine is knocking pretty bad on first start of the day and I have to give it 'gas' for 5-10 seconds to stop the rockin' and rollin'. |
