My '83 300CD has 230K Miles, and runs great. The engine regulator linkage has a lot of play in the ball joints, and axles of the various levers. Also the plastic levers in the box for the switchover valves (on the valve cover) wear thin.
What is the best way to buy replacement parts? Do you need to buy all of them separately, or is there a kit available? Which parts have the biggest impact when worn? I adjusted the linkage to spec, just the overall amount of play concerns me. Who has done this job before, is it worth the trouble? Thanks for advice. Hans
