Exactly, I am looking for a commuter vehicle. I figured this would be it with the almost new engine, and the maintaince records.
But I am still waiting to purchase. There was a noise in front of engine. When the engine warmed up, the noise was gone. I wasn't too sure where it came from. I asked the owner about it and the reply was "I'll take it to the shop to see what it is return it home healthy so you can pick it up". Well I am hoping for the best and its not going to be sold out from under me, or owner changes mind.
I am getting anxious to obtain this vehicle, but I really don't want any suprizes (eg. trans goes out etc.)
Keep you informed

JPococke

Well I heard from owner. Owner stated that at least three bolts on the harmonic balancer were sheared off and the other three were so loose that it couldn't turn the belts.
To me this makes sense because the alt. light was on, it was hard to steer.
But on the other hand is this common?
Owner will contact me Monday to tell me the rest of the story.
The saga continues hopefully I will pick the vehicle up next week end.
