Heater core on 123?

One of the issues that popped up on my recent trip to FLA is upon returning to cold weather that dreaded coolant smell has gotten stronger when the heat kicked in. Since I am having ACC issues anyway it looks like I might as well take the dash apart and do the heater core. I have done heater cores on other cars, including a 88 Ford 5.0 Mustang with AC which I have been told is the Holy Grail of "impossible" It took 15hours and lived up to its name. I have done the search and am looking for input on difficulty and pitfalls. I have tried Bars Leaks which has always worked for me but.... Thanks, RT
