diesels for sale :(

Hello Group,

It is with much sadness that I am going to sell my Mercedes Diesels. I'm moving and can't take them with me.

The first of which is a 1978 300d cream/tobacco with 270,000 +/- miles. The body is in really nice condition but the engine is getting a little weak. It also needs a starter and maybe a flywheel. It is $400.00.

The second is a 1979 300d black/tobacco with 113,000 +/- miles. The body is pretty good, a little rust around the jack points. The interior is nice but the engine is great. It runs and starts beautifully! The price on it is $1200.00.

I'm located in southern illinois if anyone is interested in purchasing.

Thanks,

Matt

there are a lot of folks who post diesel sales here. to me it makes more sense to advert yopur diesel here rather than the cars for sale section. i get the feeling all those folks are gassers.

didn't mean to offend

Sorry guys,

I'm not a dealer. I just like the cars and happen to have two that I unfortunately have to sell. Anyway, sorry if I posted in the wrong place. If anyone is interested i'm in Carbondale, Illinois.

Thanks,

mattcha@mchsi.com

I'd agree that only 2 posts and you are selling is a little odd...

But you are asking "normal" prices and not dealer type prices...Sooooo

Too bad it took this long to find us, maybe you would have decided to keep them had you hung out here a while.

Sounds like the cars are not too rusty, a good find up north I would think

Jeeze guys, lighten-up. At least there wasn't that oh-so-too-oft-repeated-phrase:

"These cars are WELL known for their ability to run for over 500,000 miles at 75+mph while attaining 35+mpg"
